Music Memory Box at Design Museum

Earlier this week, I was delighted to be invited by former” Designing for the Future” winner, Harry Trimble to accompany him to the Design Museum for the launch of this year’s Designers in Residence exhibition. We were there particularly to support fellow “Designing for the Future” alumnus, Chloe Meineck who is showing her wonderful Music Memory Box which is designed for people living with dementia.

It’s always good to catch up with our former students to see how they are progressing. I was very pleased to meet Chloe’s proud family –  parents are often the unsung heroes, having lived every moment of the journey from idea to product alongside their creative student offspring.

The Music Memory Box has progressed beyond all recognition from its humble origins as The Hub which Chloe entered into “Designing for the Future” three years ago.  Now the product has a much more attractive aesthetic, embeds more sophisticated technology and is well on its way to becoming a successful commercial product. I am very excited to see how it develops.
