DFF alumna opens gallery shop in Worthing

It’s always exciting to see how the careers of our Designing for the Future students evolve.

Last week I was delighted to be invited to attend the opening of Hanna Mawbey‘s new shop in Worthing, West Sussex. Heavy Gretel is a new gallery shop selling Craft, Design and Art by independent makers, several of whom are fellow University of Brighton students such as Silvia K Ceramics or members of the DFF network such as Eleanor Owens.

The shop is in a beautifully renovated period building near Worthing Pier and the fit out is cool and stylish. Hanna’s carefully curated selection of work includes jewellery, ceramics, plants, prints, wood craft and stationery. A perfect place for Christmas shopping!
