The University of Brighton and particularly the Dean of the College of Art & Humanities, Professor Anne Boddington, have supported Designing for the Future from its inception in 2010.
Starting as a competition for Design & Craft students, DFF has grown so that it is now an option across all the creative disciplines in the College of Art including fashion, architecture, graphic design and illustration.
DFF has been led by a number of talented designers and lecturers :
- Nick Gant (2010-14)
- Marc Owens (2010)
- Gareth Neal (2011-2013)
- Dr Tom Ainsworth (2014-2016)
- Stefano Santilli (2017-)
We have also run a separate project with Dr Eddy Elton and his product design students.
